Sandy River Company enjoys a long standing positive working relationship with the State of Maine. Aside from creating numerous healthcare facilities in Maine in cooperation with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, Sandy River Company has a history of collaborating with the State of Maine to tackle new services that were not being provided in Maine. For example, in the 1990’s, Sandy River Company worked closely with the State in responding to a legislative report on the need for developing rehabilitation services for persons with traumatic brain injuries. As a result, RiverRidge was created in Kennebunk.
Sandy River Company has also been requested by the State to provide “emergency receiver” services to senior care facilities throughout Maine. Additionally, Michael Tyler, a partner in Sandy River Company, has served on the transition teams of two newly elected Governors in Maine.
